New Ranger Compared to the F-150

Ford F-series is undoubtedly one of the popular vehicles in the United States. You walk into Ford's showroom, and you are bound to be confused between the 2019 Ford Roger and Ford F-150 pickup. Here, we are comparing both the cars to make the decision easier for you.

The massive headlights lift up the two-set chrome bar that looks similar to the ones in Ranger.

While F-150 complements the American roads, Ranger is made to cater to the global style and has fewer American elements. Trims display the signature hexagonal grille; however, the Lariat gets dual floating chrome bars. Her black rectangular patterns on the trims, whereas all trims come with inserts on the side accompanied by a honeycomb pattern.

Ranger vs. F-150 – Interior

The interior of the Ranger is clean and contemporary. The overall style is fresh and slick similar to F-150. Along with Sync touchscreen infotainment, there are physical knobs as well that add practicality. The seat is made of either vinyl or cloth around the lower trims, whereas the upper Lariat feature bucket seat spruced in leather.

The inside of the F-150 would feel bigger because of its larger size and a panoramic moonroof. Controls are embedded logically, featuring big knobs on the control panels. There is ambient interior lighting as well as faux carbon-fiber trim that adds to the personality of the car.

Ranger vs. F-150 – Engine

Ranger features Ford's powerful and energy-efficient EcoBooster motor (2.3 liters) accompanied with 10-speed automatic transmission. There is an auto-start and stop technology, which is paired with either 4x4 drivetrain or 4x2 RWD; the former would be more expensive for you.

As for the F-150, it comes with multiple engines. There are a 2.7 liter EcoBoost, two 3.5 liter EcoBoost options, a 3.0-liter turbo diesel and the most popular 5.0 liter V8 Coyote. Similar to the Ranger, this car also comes with auto start-stop technology. Moreover, there is 10-speed transmission; however, the 3.3 liter V6 also comes with six-speed automatic transmission.

Ranger comes with a fuel tank of 18 gallons, whereas the F-150 has a massive fuel tank of 36 gallons. The latter also used push-parking brakes, which is seen on many modern trucks and SUVs. Ranges, on the contrary, come with e-brake levers that are commonly seen in a sedan.

Ranger is a powerful and efficient pickup that is priced right, considering the features and specifications it holds. As for people who are looking for a full-size pickup truck, F-150 proves to be a smarter choice than the Ranger.
