J103 FM JFest 2022

Music, worship, and connection, were just the beginning of this year’s Jfest by J103 FM. Every year, J103 puts on their annual JFest which brings in artists and people from all over the nation. This is the first Jfest event since the COVID-19 hiatus back in 2020, and they absolutely shattered all previous records, making the 2022 Jfest the largest in J103 history! Jfest was held at the Tennessee Riverpark on Amnicola, as it has for many years before. Thanks to the entire staff at Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Department, Chattanooga State, hundreds of volunteers, and support staff, not to mention all of the sponsors, food vendors, and everyone else, the 2022 Jfest was an incredible success!

Jfest 2022 also had a fantastic artist line-up with the co-headliners being Grammy winner Zach Williams and American Idol alum Danny Gokey. Other acts included Cain, Unspoken, The Afters, Colton Dixton, Caitie Hurst, and The Union Chattanooga. All got their time on the Lee University stage and played their hearts out for the 12,500 festival goers in attendance. The event wrapped up with a spectacular fireworks display over the river.

This music festival has been going on since 1999 and has always been a place for wholesome entertainment for the entire community. Jfest is also the largest Christian music festival between Atlanta and Cincinnati to date and has seen the likes of Christian music legends including For King and Country, Mercy Me, and Lecrae.

Cleveland Ford was able to participate in the Jfest, where we featured two of our Ford models on the event field. We always love being a part of Jfest and meeting new, excited people. We can’t wait to return in 2023 right back at the Tennessee Riverpark on May 20th!

Bradley Sunrise Rotary

It’s rare for an organization to truly be open and accepting of everyone. But that’s exactly what the Bradley Sunrise Rotary is. Established in 1995, the Bradley Sunrise Rotary encompasses exactly what America is, a melting pot of cultures and people coming together to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace. The Rotary Club consists of business professionals and community leaders of different backgrounds and creeds to work together towards a common goal.

For the past years, Cleveland Ford has been a sponsor of the Sunrise Gala, and we’re back this year for the 2022 Sunrise Gala happening August 13th. This Gala supports a variety of local and international non-profit organizations including the Habitat for Humanity, Men and Women of Action, Keep America Beautiful, and many more. Those attending this year’s Gala will enjoy a terrific dinner while expanding their understanding with Lt. Col. Robert Darling. Lt. Col. Darling is a retired United States Marine Corp veteran who flew attack helicopters for over twenty years including in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was also selected to fly as a presidential pilot with Marine Helicopter Squadron One and was handpicked to work for the Whtie House Military Office, Airlift Operations Department. He supported Former President Bush and his cabinet in the President’s Emergency Operations Center during 9/11. Along with earning his MBA in Financial Management, serving as Program Manager for the Chief of Naval Operations, and being a public speaker on crisis leadership and decision making, he is also the author of “24 Hours Inside the President’s Bunker, 9/11/01: The White House”. He currently acts as the President and CEO of Turning Point Crisis Management.

Cleveland Ford loves to support any effort towards unity, peace, and understanding, which is exactly what the Bradley Sunrise Rotary represents. This year’s Sunrise Gala will be held at the Museum Center at 5ive Points, and we are very proud to be returning sponsors of the event. If you would like to learn more about this Rotary club branch and how you can participate or support their cause, check out their website for all of their information!

Isaiah 117 House

Going through the foster care system can be a rough and traumatic experience that hopefully ends in happiness for everyone involved. However, when children are removed from their homes and are waiting for foster families, many have to stay in less than ideal conditions and environments. So, a family who was going through the training in order to become foster parents decided that there had to be a change. The first Isaiah 117 House opened in Carter County in 2018. Fast forward to 2022 and the Isaiah 117 House now has 7 completely open transitional homes for children awaiting foster care in Tennessee and Indiana, and 13 houses under construction. They’re hoping to expand into Florida, Virginia, Texas, and Georgia, where they are currently raising awareness for the Isaiah 117 House and their mission.

The Isaiah 117 House offers an alternative to the Department of Children’s Services Offices where children taken from their homes out of concern for their welfare are usually brought to await placement. Instead of the children entering foster care with nothing, hungry, dirty, and scared, they leave Isaiah 117 Houses with 3-4 days of clothing including pajamas, socks, shoes, as well as a pillow, pillowcase, a stuffed animal, toys, toiletries, a backpack, duffle bags, and more of what they’ll need to ease their transition in the days ahead. The volunteers in each of these houses will also just sit with the children and play and listen to them, which surely means more than anything in a world where the “grown-ups” do all of the talking for them. They keep what they tell them in mind, especially when it comes to their favorite colors, characters, or items when they stock their bags before they leave.

To help fund their mission, Isaiah 117 House holds fundraiser events like their Golf Tournament, which we sponsored in 2021 and will be sponsoring again this year for their September Tournament. We were among the first sponsors for the Bradly/Polk County house when they opened their doors on October 18th, 2021, and are proud to be continuing our relationship with them this year! If you would like to learn more about how you can help through volunteering or participating in their fundraiser events like the upcoming Golf Tournament on September 23rd, you can find information about the Bradly/Polk house and the rest of their locations here! Taking care of children at their most vulnerable is extremely important, and we’re proud to be a part of making their lives better.

When one of us succeeds, we all succeed. That’s why supporting our local school districts and their sports teams is so important to us at Cleveland Ford. While school funding continues to dwindle and teachers fight for the bare necessities, the community often needs to step up and help where it can. Events like the Annual Lady Raider Invitational Golf Tournament are great ways to support these schools and their sports teams directly.

This year, the Lady Raider Invitational Golf Tournament is taking place on October 1st with an 8:30 am Shotgun at Falcon Point Golf Club. Each participating team will have 4 golfers competing for 1st, 2nd, or 9th place prizes. The prizes include ProV1/Vice Golf Balls, Rounds of Golf, TN Football tickets, Raider Passes, and more!

Cleveland High School and the Lady Raiders are very transparent about how the money raised at this fundraiser will be used. Last year, they were able to buy brand new uniforms for the girls for the first time in 6 years thanks to the money raised. This year, all of the proceeds will be used to further their mission of diversity and inclusivity. Cleveland HS is a very diverse school and they want to make sure that anyone who wants to play sports has the opportunity and means to do so. That’s why, all proceeds from this year’s Golf Invitational will be used to cover basketball player fees, player gear, equipment, uniforms, maintenance, and updates.

Cleveland Ford has been a long-time supporter of Cleveland High School and the Lady Raiders and we’re so happy to return this year and support them again. If you or someone you know would like to take part in the Golf Tournament or simply attend as a spectator, you can learn more about the event and the Lady Raiders at tinyurl.com/52zafbm2 and Clevelandschools.org.
